Red River Early Learning Centre is a home child care and early learning program nestled in the quiet Westvale neighborhood of Waterloo, Ontario. Our award winning program has proudly served families in the Kitchener-Waterloo region and surrounding area since April 15th, 2014.
At Red River ELC we strive to create a welcoming, inclusive and home-like environment in which each individual child is valued. Inspiring and engaging materials are provided each day for the children to explore, encouraging expressive and self-directed play.
In addition to our exceptional emergent curriculum model, we also implement a variety of enrichment activities within our program which include; Music and Movement, yoga classes, excursions to a variety of local sites and an outdoor & woodland learning curriculum.
Our school is an eco-conscious learning environment and in April of 2016 we became one of the first Eco-Healthy Childcare Facilities in the Waterloo Region. We are also a proud GreenSchool through Project Learning Tree and a member of the Natural Start Alliance.
Our outdoor play space is a certified wildlife habitat through the National Wildlife Federation. This means that in our yard there is food and water for wild creatures, as well as cover and places to raise young.
Red River Early Learning Centre is a Hygge Accredited program (Hygge in the Early Years).
Our program is an agency affiliated home learning and care facility contracted by the Region of Waterloo Home Child Care.
Red River Early Learning Centre welcomes all families regardless of race, color, national or ethnic origin, age, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, or any other characteristic protected under The Ontario Human Rights Code.
